Hello!

MAC has been one of my favorite brands since I first became interested in makeup. I was super excited for the Fruity Juicy collection as I absolutely love the summery feel of it. I picked up 2 items from the collection; the Fruit A La La eyeshadow palette and one of the lipsticks, Calm Heat.

The lipstick is supposed to be matte, although to me it does have more of a satin finish, which I don’t mind at all. I love MAC lipsticks because all of the ones that I have tried have a very moisturizing feel to them which makes them a lot more comfortable. Calm Heat is no exception.

This shade is a nice pinky nude shade. Although MAC does have several pinky nude shades, it is always fun to have the special packaging from the collections.

This lipstick retails for $17 at maccosmetics.com

The other product that I got from the Fruity Juicy collection is an eyeshadow palette. There were 3 eyeshadow palettes released in the collection; a blue/green palette (Love in the Glades), a more yellow/orange palette (Oh My Banana), and a pink/orange palette (Fruit A La La). Although I would have loved to buy all three, I only ended up with one.

Left to Right; Glamour Light, Soleil So Lovely, !Arriba!, Carnal Charm, Fuchsia Fury, Cocktail Black

All of the shades are extremely pigmented and beautiful but the shade that stands out the most to me is !Arriba! the coppery shimmery shade. I don’t have any other colors quite like this one in my collection and I absolutely love it!

Overall I was very happy with my purchases from the collection. I think that there are definitely good dupes for the lipstick, but the eyeshadow palette was unique and very nice and blendable.
